The Wait is Over

Every summer, Lahore families ask the same question: "Has Summer Joy started yet?" This year the answer is a resounding yes — and if your kids haven't been yet, you're going to want to fix that this week.

Joyland's Summer Joy is the park's annual special entertainment program layered on top of Pakistan's largest and oldest amusement park experience. Every season, Fortress Stadium transforms from a great amusement park into a full-blown carnival spectacle, with live performers, roving characters, and interactive experiences woven into every corner of the grounds.

"Where summer feels like the best day of the year — every single day."

What's On

The Summer Joy lineup this year is packed. From the moment you step through the gates, performers are everywhere — this isn't a single show at a fixed time, it's a living, breathing carnival experience spread across the whole park.

The Park Experience

The Summer Joy activities don't exist in a vacuum — they sit on top of everything Joyland already offers. This is Pakistan's largest and oldest amusement park, running for over four decades from Fortress Stadium. The rides range from gentle tea cup spinners perfect for toddlers all the way up to the 360 Roller Car, Super Armor, and VR experiences for the thrill-seekers in the family.

Joyland's famous giant candy cane archway — an iconic Lahore landmark for families
📸 The candy cane arch — one of the most photographed spots in all of Lahore's amusement parks

Speaking of which — that giant candy cane archway deserves a special mention. It's one of the most Instagrammable spots in all of Lahore's recreational spaces, and the kids always insist on walking through it at least three times. The colourful striped canes in red, blue, orange and green create an almost dreamlike tunnel that feels like stepping into a storybook.

After the rides and shows, the on-site Kafetaria — The Taste of Tradition food court has you covered. Seasonal food delicacies are part of the Joyland experience — it's one of the things that makes a visit here feel like a complete day out rather than just a quick trip.

✅ Fun 4 Lahori Kids Verdict

Summer Joy is one of those rare events where parents enjoy themselves just as much as the kids. The live entertainment performers elevate the experience well beyond a standard amusement park visit — the spontaneity of running into a street magician mid-walk or watching a juggler draw a crowd adds real magic. Combined with Joyland's decades-old ride lineup and the food court, this is a genuinely complete family evening out. Highly recommended — go before the school holidays end and the crowds really pack in.
